Again Barbara and I went to lunch. today we went to IHOP because there were some coupons......2 meals one price... but after we ordered we realized it was not good on Sundays. We of course ate anyway. It sounds as if we only go to cheap places but that is because we (I) are on an economy kick. After lunch we went to her house and sat on her patio. Than I came home and began to get some of the stuff out of the other bedroom. EEK its a job and a half.
Got an email from nephew Patrick Byrne. He is going to be on Good Morning America on Tuesday.

What--Patrick on Good Morning, America tomorrow? Oh, I hope it's early, as I have an oil change scheduled at 8:30. Come to think of it, I'll change my appointment, so I can be sure to see it.
Here's a question: If you're on an economy kick, do you know how much you spend on lunch out every month? Wonder if it's substantial.
YES it is substantial! Barbara and I talked about it yesterday and we decided we have no other life so its ok. She, of course has a pension,Social Security and when her boyfriend died he left her lots on money. I, on the overhand have only Social Security which does not even cover my rent. I will worry about it tomorrow.
Forgot: Patrick said he was not sure when his segment would be on.
All those years of working in hospitals nurses had no pension program.
In 1987 our hospital started one.....I'd worked there 15 years and when I reached retirement age I rec'd $8k all at once plus $171/month. The nurses working today are far better off....if they don't move around.
I agree...if eating out gives you pleasure...go for it. Ice cold water instead of soda is better for you anyhow and saves a few pennies.
