Today was a better day. Went to lunch with my friend Barbara. We went to a All-you-can -eat Mexican . It is great if you like Mexican. Aside from that I am taking it easy. Boring huh?
Betty, It is unbelieveable that you can eat Mexican so recently after your colon surgery. The surgeon said OK...so why not? I LOVE Mexican. No good places around here, but we did have some in Pensacola. I remember when I lived in NJ I wouldn't dream of eating it. Times and tastes change....thank God.
Here in far-off Jersey, I seldom get authenic Mexican food. I remember years ago eating it in California and was amazed at how much better it was when it was made by real Mexicans. What we get at Chi-Chi's was probably invented by Italians in Newark. It's the same with Asian food: It's geared toward western tastes in the U.S.--is just entirely different in Thailand, Maylasia, and other countries. (Did you know that Chinese fortune cookies really DID originate in Newark? The Chinese never heard of them.)
What?????Fortune cookies were invented in NEWARK? I never! I swear this true. I am looking at my last fortune and it says," You have an unusual magnetic personality" Lucky numbers 10,21,31,40,9. I really thought the Chinese would let me win.
