Sunday was a slow day. Didn't do much at all. Oh, I did go to lunch with my friend Barbara and did some shopping.
Today I went to breakfast with Sara. We had a great time discussing clutter etc. We than went to the book store and each bought, "The Clutter Cure". It is very funny. Some of the chapters are:
"But It's Still Perfectly good!".
"I'm Getting Sentimental Over You...and You...and You".
and Rosemary, this one reminds me of you and Santa. Oh, I mean Santas.
"It's Part of My collection".
Some points are
Collections Try to Take Over Your Life
"They don't mean anything by it". and "I"m Not That Interested in Santa Anymore, but People Won't stop Giving Them to Me".
Here are the "Dangerous Phrases " for this chapter.

1. "I'm saving my string collection for my grandchildren".
2. "So many of these were gifts from dear friends."
3. I could never replace it all if it were stolen".
etc.
You did a great job in the last few months , Mimi.

I laughed out loud at your mention of my Santa Clauses. I'm actually SICK OF THEM, but I did include most in a tasteful display on the shelves in the guest bath last Christmas. I can't deprive my guests of Santa while they're taking a whiz, now can I?

Here is the last paragraph of that chapter. (before the,"stuff list #10)
bUT WHY SHOULD YOU TRY TO HEAD GIFT GIVERS OFF AT THE PASS? wHY NOT JUST THANK THEM AND QUIETLY DISPOSE OF THE ITEM? bECAUSE, GIVE THE ENDOWMENT EFFECT, YOU MIGHT HAVE A HARD TIME LETTING GO. iT WILL BE HARD ENOUGH WHEN SOMEONE SAYS TO YOU, " i KNOW YOU SAID YOU DIDN'T WANT ANY MORE----------(SANTAS), BUT THIS ONE WAS TOO CUTE TO RESIST"- AND YOU FIND YOURSELF AGREEING WITH THEM!
Sorry for the all caps. I wasn't looking.
