Here is the bottom line.
I am having a Right Hemicollectomy ( removal of right side of my colon). On Monday April 23rd. at 12noon. Sorry Robyn, I know it is your Bday. but, I want to be better for Dexter.
I went to the surgeon's office where they have a scheduler. Than the Oncologist called to say he thought it was a good idea. My blood work still came back neg. for Von Willerbrands syndrome and sometimes it has to be drawn 6-7 times to come up positive.
I will be on clear liquids on Sun. so until than I will eat everything I can find that is good and fattening.

Betty,
I like that approach...eating whatever you damm well want. They do some fantastic procedures now days....you will do fine. Is there anyway they can do it laparoscopically (how the hell do you spell that one...but you know what I mean)...they do so many surgeries that way now.
Boy when you make up your mind...you move fast... April 23rd....that'll give you a good 5-6 wks til you can greet baby Dexter.
Yes, it will be done lapproscopically
I can't spell it either, unless they run into a problem and have to resort to the old method.
I will be in the hospital for five days which seems long to me.
It's a relief--to me, anyway--that you have this resolved. I don't think five days is any too long to be in the hospital. It will give you time to rest and heal.
Will be in close touch, of course.
Love Ya!
(as we used to write in HSHS)
